The short version: your data stays on your phone. We collect nothing.
Everything you enter in Owed – your jobs, rates, and shifts – is stored locally on your device. Owed has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of ours that your data is sent to. We cannot see, access, or share your records, because they never leave your phone.
Nothing. Owed contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We do not collect personal information, usage data, or identifiers.
If you ask for a beta invite through our screener form, we collect what you type there: the kind of work you do, how your pay varies, how many jobs you work, your iPhone details, and your email. This is the website, not the app. We use it only to send you the right beta build and reply with your invite. The form is handled by Netlify (our forms provider), we never share it, and we delete these responses once the beta closes.
If you use Owed through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share standard beta information with us: crash logs, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send through TestFlight. This comes from Apple under Apple's privacy terms; we use it only to fix problems, and it contains no shift or pay data unless you include it in a screenshot yourself.
Beta note: during the beta, your data lives only on your device – deleting the app deletes your records. Device-to-device sync and backup are planned for a later release.
If you email us at info@owed.today, we will have your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.
Owed is a personal record based on the figures you enter – not legal or financial advice, and not an official pay record.
If this policy changes, the current version will always be at owed.today/privacy with the date above updated.
